Biochar is a bio-based carbon produced through thermochemical processes, particularly pyrolysis.
SG Energies supports biochar projects according to the project's needs and level of maturity.
The intervention may involve the study of deposits, the definition of the supply plan, assistance in choosing the technology, the analysis of the process, support in setting up an MRV tool and the qualification of biochar outlets.
This approach allows projects to be approached with a technical, industrial and operational perspective, without depending on proprietary technology.
A biochar project is not limited to the production of a carbon-based material. It requires structuring the entire value chain: biomass resources, preparation of inputs, technological choices, quality of the biochar produced, carbon traceability and suitable markets.
